Check Check

So it's been a bit since I've last updated! AND I actually have some more wedding related news to update on. Well, we are ordering the bridesmaid dresses this month. Which reminds me, Jill and Kaliegh-who is now a jr. bridesmaid and NOT a minature bride because she would rather wear blue than white. I let her pick. Oh, I didn't even finish my sentence. They need to get measured. I know, how dreadful! That is never anyone's favorite part. My waist is what?!? How man inches?? hehee So that is kind of exciting. I called the lady today to check in to see if they had to pay all or half now and the other half when the dresses came in. Which just in case you're wondering - it's half now and half when it comes in. I forgot to ask her if she thought I could get a piece of the fabric to better find the vest and tie color for the tux.

Speaking of Tuxedos. Did you know they are quite expensive to just rent for a day or so? Wow! BUT, we looked at several places and I think I like Black Tie best. They actually have a color called Tiffany Blue although, when I saw it, it did not look the slightest bit like Tiff Blue. SO I do need to get a piece of the fabric from the girl's dress to better decide. The color that did match my Tiff. Blue card (that goes everywhere I go now- Thanks Lisa Lou!) perfectly was called mint green! I carry it around everywhere because you never know when you might come across something for the wedding with the color.

Wedding Cake- We have the ribbon! We-errr, well Brendan found it in Ohio! He's good! Also Uncle Tony found it too! Thanks for sending it to me Aunt Colleen! Y'all are great!! Aunt DeeAnn was so gracious to get our wedding cake ribbon for us! Thank you again!!!!! That's one more thing to cross off the to do list!

Music- We now have a pianist AND a violinist! I'm so excited!! I don't really know how this works though. They don't know each other and have never played together-or that I know of. He is from Florence and she lives in Columbia. She used to cheer with me in high school! How awesome is that! I was really excited with my stepfather, Randy, said he knew a violinst at church and then asked him! How great is that?! We haven't picked our music out yet and I don't even know where to start with that! I know I want Mr. Kirk to sing- don't know what. I would love for my daddy to sing "Butterfly Kisses"- I've always told him that I wanted him to sing that at my wedding. Wonder if he remembers. Yes, believe it or not...somehow musically talented people come out of my family. My cousin, Jonathan is an excellent singer and pianist as well. BUT unfortunately the musical talent was not passed to moi! Anyways. I know what song I want to come down the isle to "Bridal March". Other than that NADA. I don't know a thing. Help?! Suggestions?

Well, this turned into a much longer entry than I had imagined! This weekend we are going to West Virginia on a ski trip that I won't be skiing on. Maybe tubing though! So YAY! SNOW!! Even if it is fake- I'll take it! hehee OH and will someone for the love of all that is great please read the Twilight books so that I have someone to talk about my obession with?! :o) I'm on my last book and I can't tell you how hard it was to pull away from reading to make an entry. I know..vampires but just read it..you'll be addicted like me! :o)

Hope everyone is having a fantastic week! I am, but I think it's because I know it's a short one for me! hehee Love you all!

Well, I can give Twilight a shot. I checked our local library and if I get in line now with the other 12 people waiting to read the book ~ or the 14 waiting for the CD version ~ I might have the first book in the series read before the wedding ;~}

Glad to hear you were able to find the ribbon for the cake.

Love,
Aunt Maureen
